SS 317L Plate is a modified variant of existing stainless steel alloys with a molybdenum alloy accumulation. This is done to strengthen the strength and improve the resistance to pitting corrosion. The hardness and thermal strength of SS 317L Plate are excellent. Stainless steel 317L, on the other hand, is a lower carbon variant of the 317-grade alloy that has the same corrosion resistance and strength.
